The Atwood Fire Protection District has signed up for Nixle, a community based messaging system. We have the ability to send out messages regarding emergencies, weather alerts, community events, etc.
You can get these alerts by cell phone and/or email. All you have to do is go to www.nixle.com and register. It is all free. When a message is sent out, there will be a short text message for you cell phone and, if you subscribe, a full text email message sent to your email.
So far, we have been putting weather forecasts on nixle but, as we figure out more how it works, it will be expanded.

Welcome to Atwood Fire Protection District’s new website. This is a post. Anyone can register get approved and add posts events, links and such! It is much easier to use, while also being more secure. It is also easier for me to keep track of. There are many things we can do with this post pics, videos, twitter and email with this layout. Please let me know what ya need or want from the old site that is not on here anymore.

Everyone’s atwoodfire.com email address still works just like it did just go here to get to them http://www.atwoodfire.com/webmail when you go there a window will ask for your username and password thats all the same too, just make sure that you enter in this format

username@atwoodfire.com for username
password for password

and if you need an email address let me know.
